1. About VacaByte
VacaByte is a software consulting practice operated by Caspar Rinne. We help businesses build MVPs, automate workflows, and make their technical architecture future-proof. These terms govern the relationship between VacaByte and any client or visitor engaging with our services or website.
2. Services
VacaByte provides project-based consulting and development services, including but not limited to: MVP development, workflow automation, technical architecture reviews, and code audits. The scope, timeline, and deliverables for each engagement are agreed upon in writing before work begins.
3. Intellectual property
Upon full payment, all custom work produced specifically for a client becomes the property of that client. VacaByte retains ownership of any pre-existing tools, frameworks, methodologies, or reusable components incorporated into the work. Nothing on this website may be reproduced or used commercially without prior written consent.
4. Confidentiality
VacaByte treats all client information — including business logic, architecture details, and project requirements — as confidential. We do not share client information with third parties without explicit consent. Clients are expected to treat any proprietary VacaByte methodologies or tooling shared during an engagement as confidential.
5. Payment
Payment terms are defined per engagement. Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. VacaByte reserves the right to pause or terminate work if payment obligations are not met.
6. Limitation of liability
VacaByte delivers work to the best of its professional ability. We are not liable for business decisions made based on our recommendations, losses arising from third-party services or infrastructure, or issues arising after handover of delivered work unless covered by a support agreement. Our total liability in any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
7. Changes to these terms
VacaByte may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always available at this URL. Continued engagement with VacaByte after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
